LESSONS
Alongside her professional work Kate has always enjoyed working with private students at her home in Bushey, Hertfordshire (approx 20 minutes from Euston on public transport). She is a member of the vocal faculty at both Momentum Performing Arts Academy and Emil Dale Academy and has taught or taken workshops at several colleges including Performers College, LSMT, Millennium, MHTS and RSAMD. She was the Assistant Children’s Director during her time at Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and has experience of working with children from age 5 and up. She has an enhanced DBS check.
Kate has recently completed a PGCert at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama to add to her Associateship of the Royal Academy of Music, Dip RAM, LRAM, and BAHons Dunelm. She has also attended the Estill voice craft courses up to the Advanced Level and continues to study regularly with her teacher, Mark Meylan.
Kate enjoys working with singers of all ages and experience and will tailor each lesson plan to the individual. Students can, if they wish, learn basic piano skills and study music theory as well as singing to provide a good foundation in general musicianship. Kate has also helped people prepare for public speaking and worked with lots of 'non-singing' actors who want to develop their skill set.
